Students suicide turned into caste issue

India has been a secular country for having people of different religions living together at one place. The based politics has been seen by the majority of political parties to win the election. The recent suicide incident of PHD scholar Rohit Vermula is also turned into religious politics by some politicians. He is being called Dalit for his religion and his involvement in the events of Dalit rights. His suicide was nowhere linked with any religion and their sentiments but it has been made a caste issue in the country by some anti-religious people.
Media also highlighted it with the headline ‘Dalit student suicides’ but his Dalit identity was nowhere reason for the incident. The news story was also covered by BBC news and some other international channels and they have also mentioned Dalit as their headline. The identity of India as secular country is presented unsecular by this headlines and it has spread throughout all over the world with these international channels. The increasing involvement of religion and religion based politics is somewhere causing the society and turning them towards unsecularism in India. Students active participation in such kind of political activities has become a major issue in the country and that is turning the youth towards politics and religion issues.
