Educational place turns to political platform


                              Hyderabad Central university located at Hyderabad has been in news headlines after a suicide of PHD scholar Rohit Vermula. The university is seen as the major platform for the politics as many political activities are being held due to some students associations and political peoples interference in the university. The recent suicide case of Rohit Vermula has raised many questions on the university atmosphere. The university campus was was not allowed for any political activities in the early 90’s but the involvement is increased in recent days.
Students involved in political activities

                                     The letter written by Union Minister Bandaru Dattatraya was one of the example of increasing involvement of politicians. ABVP and ASA are some organisations which are set up at the university campus and getting linked with political parties. Many events of protests are seen in past few days which became a problem for the campus atmosphere. Rohit Vermula was also one of the activist with ASA who organised many events and protest against different issues. Beef celebration, protest for hanging of Yakub Memon were also some events among them. The university also provides kind of reservation and some concession for Dalit and minority students. Rohit Vermula was one among them who was living in university hostel and he was also getting fellowship of Rs. 25,000 from university. University also has many scholarship programs for its scholar students.
